Wayne Kupke Obituary

March 9, 1942 – March 25, 2018

Wayne C. Kupke, 76, of Louisville passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lincoln. He was born on March 9, 1942, to Paul and Malinde (Jung) Kupke in Omaha.

Wayne married Joyce Ann Madoerin on July 28, 1963, at the First Lutheran Church in Omaha. He worked as a farmer, bus driver and grounds keeper at Platte River State Park in Louisville. Wayne was a member of the Lions Club and Murdock Volunteer Fire Dept. He also enjoyed spending time in his woodshop.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Kim (Ron) Griffin, Karen (Budd) Bogatz, Jeff (Michelle) Kupke; grandchildren, Allison (Tom) Ferguson, Matthew Griffin, Joshua (Ciera) Bogatz, Kyle Bogatz, Taylor Kupke, Dakota Kupke; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Eileen Guehlstroff.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Oliver Kupke.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Murdock. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Murdock Volunteer Fire Dept. or Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
