Golden Valley, Arizona - Angelo Ramirez passed away on July 16, 2022 at the age of 75 in Golden Valley, Arizona. SFC Angelo, a veteran, served over 30 years in the Army protecting the country he loved. This included a tour in Viet Nam and a tour in Iraq at the age of 60. Angelo represented the 13 Western States in the 1106th AVCRAD located in Fresno, CA. He was a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal/ 2 Army Commendation Medals/ Army Achievement Medal/ 6 Army Good Conduct Medals/ 3 National Defense Service Medals/ Vietnam Service Medal/ Global War on Terrorism Service Medal/ 3 Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbons/ Army Service Ribbon/ 2 Overseas Service Ribbons/Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M Device/ Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal/ Iraq Campaign Medal. He was an amazing husband, wonderful father and grandfather. Angelo is survived by his wife Candie Ramirez; daughter Valdosta Stockle (Ben); step son Jesse Cervantes (Val); step daughter Unitie Cervantes-Herrera (Richard); step son Richard Barbo (Molly); brothers, Henry (Koren) Adolfo (Tina); and sister Elvira Lopez. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Angelo resides today with his mother Cecilia Perez Ramirez; father Aurelio Ramirez; brother Carlos Ramirez; sister-in-law Penny Ramirez; and grandson Daniel Hawkins Sr. Wednesday, August 3, 2022 Mass 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 459 W. 21st Street, Merced California. Burial will follow 1:30 p.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, Santa Nella California 95322. Join us for a meal and celebration of life at the American Legion Post 83, 939 W. Main Street, Merced California.
