Areveal Paggett Sr.

AREVEAL PAGGETT, SR. Areveal Paggett, Sr. was born February 12, 1917, in Jonesboro, LA. He passed away, at age 86, on Saturday, August 30, 2003, of a sudden heart attack. A Fresno resident of 59 years, he was a construction trucker, and a lifetime Teamster until his retirement from Clovis Ready Mix. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ida Lee Paggett; they were the pillars of a close-knit community of family and friends. He was a devoted member and deacon of Deliverance Temple Church, a tireless, loving father and a friend to all he encountered. He took endless joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were the light of his life. Mr. Paggett is survived by one brother, Alvester Paggett of Dodge, LA; a sister, Eva Ray Phillips of San Diego, CA; his seven children, Georgetta Paggett, Jo Anna Thompson, Arveal Paggett, Jr., Keith Paggett, Debra Paggett of Fresno, CA, Mary C. Thomas of Hercules, CA, and Patricia Sandoval of Kensington, CA; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Jesse E. Cooley Jr. Funeral Service on Friday, September 5, 2003, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Saturday, September 6, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., followed by internment at Belmont Memorial Park.
