Benjamin T. Lara Sr.

BENJAMIN T. LARA SR. Passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2002, at the age of 71. Ben was born on December 17, 1930, to Fredrick and Mercedes Lara of Sunnyvale, California, where he spent his childhood. Ben served in the United States Marine Corp. In 1955 he was married to his wife Angelyn. They later settled in the Central San Joaquin Valley where he began his farming career. He is survived by his children Carol Peterson, Ben Lara Jr., and Todd Lara, his sister Eleanor Plaza, and his brothers Richard Lara, Edward Lara, Paul Lara, Henry Lara, Fred Lara and grandchilden Jason, Brandon and Sean Peterson. Amanda, Tyler, Kirsten, Kalie, Angelyn, Shelby, Brittney and Cody Lara. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Kerman, CA on Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
