Billie Cooper Obituary

BILLIE MAE DUNCAN COOPER Billie Cooper passed away on March 31, 2003, at the age of 86. She was born near Porterville, into one of the pioneering families that helped settle Tulare County in the 1860's. Following high school she moved to Fresno to work and attend college. It was during that period of her life that she met, and fell in love with, John S. Cooper. They were married in 1940 and remained together for 60 years until John's death in 2000. For 35 years they made their home, and raised their children in Fresno. Upon John's retirement, they moved to Rio Del Mar where they lived for nearly 30 years. Billie is survived by her three children, Stan Cooper of Fresno, Nan Cooper of Sand Point, ID, and Wendy Ruddick of Aptos, CA., and by her seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A private Memorial Service will be held In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz County, 6851 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA. 95003.
