Dear Carol,
Mr. Padilla was my shop teacher at LHS and one of the best teachers I had there. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." You will see him again, because those who are "in Christ" never die, but have everlasting life. God bless and keep you in His amazing grace.

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Even though it's been some time since I've seen you guys; the memories of our times as kids at Huntington Lake, at your homes in San Jose and Fresno, and even visitng while Bob was at school in Flagstaff are still very vivid and are a special part of my childhood. Bob was a great guy, I was always in awe of him. He was larger-than-life, yet still so down to earth. He loved to make people laugh and I enjoyed laughing with him!
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take care.

Carol -
Bob sounds like an amazing guy. I wish I could have met him. I truly enjoyed hearing you tell me the story about how the two of you met. You were perfect for each other. Your love and dedication to him is a great example of what a special person you are and what he is to you. I know I can learn from the love the two of you shared, as I am just starting out in my marriage. Love you Carol and sending all my love and prayers to you and your family and to Bob. He had such a great smile you can tell he was an awesome man with a great personality.

Dear Carol:
Because you are such a wonderful and bright person I know you will be able to face this life's transition with grace and strength. I am remembering the words to "Whispering Hope" that you, Anne & I sang as a trio, "Softly and tenderly...come home, come home to me." You are blessed with a family who will be your continued comfort and support. Love to you and your family.

Thinking of you, family and friends during this time. I know Uncle Bob will be smiling watching his loved ones tell the fun stories and remember how he was always making us smile (or laugh uncontrollably!). He is an amazing man who made and will continue to make a huge difference. I love you all and wish I could be there!

From all of us in the CFL and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Bob was and is a very special man who gave so much to the game of football. He was a great coach and a key contributor to our Championships in 1988 and 1990.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this time of sorrow. I was blessed to have Coach Padilla as a teacher, mentor, and leader in my junior and senior years at Parlier High School. The example set by Coach Padilla has been a rock for me to rely on for my entire life. I have passed some of what he gave to me on - to my own children. I'll never forget him.

Carol....I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I don't know if you remember me from Parlier or not. We had some fun times at the Parlier Hi School sporting events when Bob was the coach. I remember Bob knocking on my door at 3:00 in the morning wanting to borrow my car because of the school bus breaking down loaded with the football team. Good and warm memories.

My deceased wife Barbara Peters and her older sister Cordelia were also LHS graduates and I met you at Barbara's reunion years ago - I can't remember the year but it was at the Lamplighter Inn. Barbara died last year of pancreatic cancer and I remarried and am now living in Beaverton Oregon and loving it.
I will never forget how Bob got shafted at Fresno State and have dropped all my allegiances to that school. You, I'm sure, have a lot of fond memories and have passed over that unfortunate item in your lives. Bob was a great guy and my consolences to you and your family.
