Fresno, California - David Paul Contreras was born on January 8, 1984 to Leonard and Ramona Contreras, and went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2020. He lived his entire life in Fresno, California. In October 1995, at the age of eleven, David received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus' name. In 2002, David graduated from Truth Tabernacle Christian School, and received a degree in Computer Networking from Fresno City College in 2012. David was known to most of his friends by his initials, "DC".
David lived the scripture in Psalm 84 that states "I'd rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God". In the years following his high school graduation, David eventually became the church caretaker at Truth Tabernacle, ensuring the church sanctuary was open and ready for each service as well as serving on the church maintenance staff for several years. His knowledge and expertise in computer technology had a profound impact on Truth Tabernacle and Safety Network, the company for which he worked the last seven years.
It was David's kind spirit and good attitude that made him so easy to work with. It is for these things that he will always be remembered, and will also be sorely missed.
David's father, Leonard D. Contreras, passed away five days after David.
David is survived by his mother, Ramona Contreras; his brother Leonard R. Contreras and wife Crystal, of Fresno, California; his sister Teresa Luka and husband Mario, of Brentwood, California; his sister Cynthia Jackson and husband John, of Estacada, Oregon; nephews Rylan Contreras and Levi Jackson; niece Elise Contreras; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family members
