DIANE JEAN CROSS

Diane was born on April 22, 1947, in Carroll, Iowa and lost her brave battle with cancer on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She fought this battle with the utmost strength, grace and dignity until the very end. She will always be remembered the most for her love for her family. Diane lived most of her life in Clovis, Ca. She retired from Longs Drugs after 25 years. She loved to take trips to Pismo Beach and spend time with family and friends. She was preceded in death most recently by her brother, Gene Schieffer and her sweet dog Blu. She knew they would both be waiting for her when she got to heaven, Gene with a margarita for her and Blu with her leash to go for a walk. She is survived by Mike Cross, her loving husband of 46 years; her daughters, Sheri Wilhoite and her husband Richard, and Shannon Watson and her husband Stacy; her beloved grandchildren, Kelsi, Kailea, and Evan; and countless family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Community Church in Clovis on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Diane's Life to be held after the service. Remembrances, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Hinds Hospice.
