Mayola Wilkes Obituary
She was born on April 16, 1954, in York County to Gazza Wilkes and attended Jefferson High School.
The funeral is 12 noon Monday, November 10, 2008, at Gethsemane Church, with Bishop B. R. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Barber Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Home.
She is survived by daughters, Lasharra Gaiton (Jamison) and Shenita Brown, both of Rock Hill; sons, Tori Wilkes and Steven Brown, both of Rock Hill; sisters, Betty Burris (Gerald), Christine Leach and Creola Wilkes, all of Rock Hill; brother, Samuel Wilkes of Rock Hill; stepbrother, Wesley of Fort Mill; foster brothers, Therial Nicols, R. J. Nichols and G. W. Nichols, of McConnells; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I was so sorry to hear about Mayola, Wes kept me up to date on how she was doing. I was her "sister" Lisa from New Hampshire (Wes and Laura's sister in law) I spent a lot of time with her when I was down there. She was a wonderful person and will always have a special place in my heart. I think about her often.
