DR. RONALD HOWE Obituary

Ronald Evans Howe was born on February 17, 1945, and passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2012, in his home surrounded by family. Ronn loved God, devoting his life to serving Him, loving his family and ministering to people. Even on his death bed he encouraged and breathed life into all those who came to see him. He was a beloved pastor at Elim Chapel in Canada for ten years, and also at the Evangelical Free Church for 17 years. He was a compassionate business owner of Elimcare Communities, which helped many families with loved ones afflicted with alzheimers. He enjoyed the last five years as a wedding pastor on the central coast with his wife Kris. He was an incredible husband and loved his children unconditionally. He will be greatly missed by his wife Kris; his daughter Sarah and her husband Bruce; his daughter Rachel and her husband Brendan; his son Michael; his seven precious grandchildren; and his six brothers; two sisters and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at Peoples Church on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at 5:00 p.m.

Pastor Howe, today I am reminded of your passion and love for souls and God's Kingdom. I was a member of your church during my first two years as a Christian and I will always remember your leadership and passion for young people and equipping them for leadership. I have been in ministry for 36 years now and the pastorate for 25 years and I carry on your Kingdom Love. You reminded me that some ministries do not bring in a tangible reward (self sufficiency ) immediately but they will produce fruit later and we might not be able to witness it. We are producing fruit and you are part of my Pastoral hall of fame! May your family know you have great fruit all over the world producing Kingdom Works!.

Dear Kris and Family,

We were so very sorry to hear of Ronn's passing. We were at Fresno EV Free for five years, and left when he left. We appreciated his grace and love that was projected through his pastoring. We attended Ronn's Memorial Service, and were so blessed by the music and Ronn's DVD messaage.
Our prayers are with your family.

Pastor Howe was my pastor when I received Christ as my savior in fresno California. He taught me how to let people go and equip them for ministry. He allowed my mentor (pastor joe Broussard) to build a vibrant and healthy college group at EVE FREE. Now that I have been in ministry for over 26 yeas and pastoring for 15 years I realize how much pastor Ronn must have fought for the college ministry in board meetings and staff meetings! He protected the leaders and the young future ministers from junk. Today I try to do the same for all of my staff and ministers. Pastor Ronn you are still bearing fruit throughout the World and I thank God for your life.

Dear Kris & Family,
PROMOTED TO GLORY! What a joy and privilege to have known and fellowshipped with Ronn over the years. God
used Ronn in SO MANY WONDERFUL ways. His tender heart and love for the Lord and for people was always evident.

Kris, we love you dearly. You have been such a vital part of the ministry. We would never think simply of Ronn, it was ALWAYS "Ronn & Kris".

What a blessing to think of Ronn being "HOME".....REALLY HOME!

We continue to pray for you, Kris, and for Sarah, Rachel, and Michael. "UNDERNEATH ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS"!!

With our warmest love,
Doreen & Doug

Kris and family, we send our love. May your sorrow be tempered with the sure hope that we have as followers of Jesus. A glorious reunion awaits! Ronn was one of my first new friends when we entered MBI together in 1963. I will always treasure the fellowship we had in the gospel, even though our paths crossed all too infrequently over the years. We pray that your hearts may be filled with the comfort of God.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ronn's passing this week. He was a man of many talents, and we respected him tremendously. It was a very short life but a life lived fully and so very successfuly. We keep you and your family in our prayers.
