Earl Dean Roberts

Oracle, Arizona - Earl Dean Roberts was born in Sanger, CA on March 11, 1937. He passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2025 in Oracle, AZ. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Paxton Roberts. He is survived by his son R. Paxton Roberts and wife Laurie Cunningham; daughter Courtney Clark and husband Mark, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Earl worked for his father OE Roberts at his gas station in Centerville as a young man and then drove truck for him later on. He then worked at General Nailing Machine Corporation in Sanger alongside his wife's family. In 1968 he and his wife Sharon and two children moved to Shaver Lake CA, where he worked briefly as a carpenter's apprentice, then went to work for Southern California Edison Company as a utility man, powerhouse operator and then station chief. In 1976 he and wife Sharon bought a small marina and gas station at Huntington Lake along with partners Benny and Gretchen Brimer. They named it Rancheria Garage and Marina and it grew into several different businesses for 24 years before selling in 2000.

He loved waterskiing, fast cars, snowmobiling, motorcycling, go carting, and all things with motors. He loved playing cards with family and friends and teaching them to play Cribbage. He and Sharon loved spending time in Cambria CA and eventually moved back to Sanger in 2005. He was a kind and generous man who was loved and respected by so many, and a wonderful husband and father, grandfather and great grandfather.
