FRANCIS GARNSEY Obituary

Frank Garnsey was born on March 9, 1929, in Porrington, CT, and passed away on June 14, 2018. He worked as an officer for the Fresno Police Department from 1965 until his retirement in 1981. After his "retirement", he set up the crime lab in Eugene, OR, and went on to be the head of security for Saint Agnes Medical Center. Frank was respected and well liked by everyone he knew. Although some of us only knew Frank for the last ten years of his life, we feel blessed to have known such a wonderful man. Frank always wanted a big family, and when he met our clan, he got it! Since most of his relatives live out of town, the Fisher, McCarthy, and Scrivner families spent many holidays and vacations with Frank, who was always interested in everything going on with all of our kids and grandkids. A caring man who rarely talked about himself, he was funny, kind, generous, and will be truly missed! Frank was preceded in death by his wife Roxie. He is survived by his nieces, Lois Thorne, Arline Cochran, Gail Roth, and Judy Pollack; and nephew, Earl Cochran. We would like to thank sweet Cleo Ramirez, Mark Townsend, and the wonderful staff at Caring Heart/Loving Care residential home who took such great care of our Frank in his last few months of life. He was blessed to have been in your care. "RIP Butterface!"

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

A kind and loving man who was always interested in other peoples lives. He will be missed because there are not enough people in this world like him!
