Francis "Shorty" Vivenzi

FRANCIS VIVENZI "Shorty" Francis "Shorty" Vivenzi was born on February 10, 1902, in Pertica Alta Brescia, Italy to Pietro and Elizebetha Vivenzi. He passed away on January 30, 2003, at his home in Fresno. Shorty was 100 years old. Mr. Vivenzi left Italy and arrived in San Francisco in 1921, and spent time milking cows with the family in Point Arena before moving to Los Angeles and then finally settling in Fresno in 1924. He met and married his wife Delfina in 1935. They spent many years operating the family dairy. He is survived by his wife Delfina; sons Eddie and his wife, Patricia Vivenzi; Tony Vivenzi, Jig and his wife, Doris Vivenzi, and his daughter, Addie Richards; grandchildren, Tom, Charles, Roger, Michael, Monica, Mark and Tino Vivenzi, two great-grandchildren, Antonio and Nick; two sisters, Maria and Lena in Italy. Visitation will be at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Monday, February 3, 2003, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary and a Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Tuesday, February 4, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the St. Alphonsus Church Building Fund, 816 Pottle Ave., Fresno, CA 93706.
