I first met Gary in l969, when I was hired as a sales trainee by his Uncle, Gus Revel, who was one of the founders of the Photo & Sound Company located in San Francisco, California. At that time, Gary was the District Manager of the Valley Division, working out of the Fresno office.
My first orientation to the Company, it's customers and products was with Gary who served as my mentor, my trainer, and then, my life long friend who taught me virtually everything I needed to be known about the Company and it's customers.Gary was the consumate sales professional, and he was loved by all who had the joy of working and being with him. His sense of loyalty, commitment to his job, love of life, and integrity were all the hallmarks of a truly remarkable man.
And, who could ever forget those Birthday Phone Calls, that were as regular as time itself. Never did he forget this special day, and his message always carried with it, the joy and glory of life.
Gary's will be memorialized by the very fundamental and basic human values that he embrassed and shared in every moment and every deed of his life.Few people are fortunate enough to ever figure this out, let alone practice it by example. Gary exemplied it all.He personified what is good, and he leaves a legacy to be envied by all that have had the opportunity to know and love him.
His uncompromising ethics, compassion, and love of family and friends will be forever remembered.
On this day of celebrating his life, our heart and prayers are with his family and friends..
God Bless, until we meet again my friend.

When I read this in the paper I was very sad. How can I begin to tell a story of how much this man and his family was a part of my childhood. He was there from pre-school 1970 untill high school when his son and I graduated from high school in 1985. We were in Indian Guides and had great trips all over the place. We had many summer swimming parties, snow trips and he was always there for others. Mr. Quick was such a wonderful person. I will never forget the times he took us out to mexican food or let us handout and play baskeball. Eric was such a great friend all thoes years ago; his father was and will always be a special part of my life. I can only say it was a pleasure and a gift to have such a childhood filled with Mr.Quick around. God Bless, Erick and Mrs. Quick my thoughts are with you.

Gary and I grew up together. My brother, Ron, and Gary were great friends. Our families shared many good times when we lived in Chowchilla. Trips to the ranch in Mariposa, packing in to Merced Lake, snapping each other with dish towels when our parents made us do the dishes....all good times. His mom was my 3rd gr. teacher and piano teacher. It doesn't seem possible that Gary is gone. Condolences go out to his family. He will be a good memory in my book of memories forever.

So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. My own father died of lung cancer a year ago this May 6. It's horribly sad but such a relief that they aren't still hurting in this life. My dad was in a lot of pain. I hope that Gary was not. Gary was such a help to me when I worked at Valcom. Love and prayers to his family. -Carla Nankervis-Goodloe

To know Gary over the last 30 years has been a blessing and an honor. He was always able to look on the bright side of everything and he brought out the best in everyone that ever was blessed to know him. I will always be grateful for his friendship and all of his contributions. He was a good man and he loved life. He will be missed but always loved and respected.
