Genevieve Vach Obituary
December 4, 1920 - January 28, 2023
Jacksonville, Florida - Genevieve Jeanette Vach (Jeanette) was born in Clovis, NM, on 12/4/1920 to Calvin Perry Keown, Jr. and Nora Winifred Eads and passed on 1/28/2023 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 102. Jeanette loved her family dearly and is survived by her two children: daughter, Janis (Richard) DeBenedetto of Fresno, and son, Jim (Mary) Vach of St. John's, Florida, 7 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Jeanette attended Clovis High School & Eastern New Mexico College in Portales, NM. In 1942, she moved to Burbank, CA and worked at Lockheed Aircraft Corporation during WWII. After WWII, Jeanette married former U.S. Marine Elmer J. Vach in 1946 and they made their first home in Bass Lake CA and later moved to Fresno CA in 1952. They were married 46 years until his passing in 1992. A private burial and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
