I was a student of Mr. Logan('class of 59) at Edison-My thoughts & prayers are for the Logan family. Mr. Logan had the highest integrity of a teacher & all of us students respected him..Prior leaving fresno, I remember chatting with him at the Mcclane bowling alley...May God bless the Logan family & friends...

I met Jim through Barbara. I was lucky enough to begin working with her 22+ years ago and have remained close friends. One of the wonderful things (among many) which struck me, was how quickly and warmly Jim accepted me as a friend of his too. I did not see him often, but whenever our paths crossed, it would seem as though we did visit every day. Through Barbara's stories, I felt I got a small glimpse of Jim and their special relationship. He was a wonderful person - fun loving and clever, with a kind word and gesture for all. I wish there were more like him in today's world. Watch over Barb from heaven Jim, and we will watch over her here.

Peace be with you Logan family. I will never forget "The Donut Man". I enjoyed seeing Mr. Logan's sweet face everyday when he would come into the Granville office. He is missed!

Uncle Jim will always have a place in my heart and my memories. So many stories and wonderful times spent together. I will always remember this past Christmas we had together, especially your humor when you were trying to get your new Bull Dogs sweatshirt on.
Love your nephew,

Barbara and Family,
I just received notice of Jim's passing. I was struck with a deep sadness and am so sorry for your loss. Seeing his photo brought a flood of memories and just thinking about him makes me smile. He was always dapper and always had a kind word. He was a special man and I was privelaged to have worked with him during my career at United Way. Jim and I shared may laughs and accomplished great things for our community. I can't think of a better volunteer. Jim did things for the right reason, never said "no" and was generous with his time, talent and treasure. I am thankful that I had the chance to work with him and proud to call him my friend.
My deepeset sympaties to Barbara and the entire family. My thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time.

I was privileged to know Jim and Barbara when I worked at the United Way in the mid-90s. Jim was a dependable, hard-working, and caring individual who was deeply committed to the betterment of his community.
My condolences to Barbara and the rest of Jim’s family during this difficult time. May God provide you comfort in the days and weeks ahead.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
