Just read about Jim's passing in the Santa Clara Magazine. Jim was my best friend in 5th and 6th grade at St. Robert Bellarmine's in Burbank. I have vivid memories of his gentle kindness, reflecting the love of his mom Betty, his dad Frank and brother Bob. It was always so much fun to visit them and enjoy time together.I'm sure that Jim is rejoicing with his parents in the communion of saints. My condolences to Bob, Jim's wife and family. We were blessed to have him among us.

Dear Hannah, Blake and family, I was so saddened to hear about your grandfather. I know he was so important and special to all of you. He will definitely live on through each of you because he was such a special part of your lives, your beliefs, your values, your joy and your love. I pray all the beautiful memories of times shared as family help you through your sadness and grief. Know he is always looking down and each time you feel the wind on your face think of him blowing you a kiss from heaven...love and prayers...Mrs. Gennock

Dear Dayle, Children & Grandchildre,
I've known Jim since I was 7 and we went all through elementary school at St. Roberts together in Burbank. Dick knew him from high school at Notre Dame. We offer you all our deepest sympathy. He was a great guy all his life and who would have thought that he would be related to my sister through marriage. We were so sorry to hear of his passing - much too soon. I'm sorry that we won't be able to be with you this week. Our love, thoughts and prayers for you all. Ann & Dick Oliver

My Dearest Kendra, I am so sorry for you and your loved ones. Your entire family were always so special to me. Led and guided by the gentle and thoughtful nature of both your mom and dad. I would always recall the very first time I met your dad (at St. Therese) and his response to my concern I had addressed to him. He knew his answer would be true for life because he planted so much of his honorable beliefs and values in his children. And thankfully, it has never wavered. His beautiful spirit should never leave us. Your family will always feel his presence. My heartfelt condolences to your dear mom who will suffer greatly in this loss. Keep her near and dear. I pray she feels the love and support of friends and family each and everyday. My love and sadness to you, Christa , and Jeff.

My heart and feelings dwell with the family. I met Mr. Schmiederer over thirty five years ago. Kendra was my best friend at St. Theresa. I spent my childhood and teen years with the Schmiederers. Shooting hoops at their home on Pine Street, sitting down for dinner, listening to his very gentle way of speaking and his friendly smile and comforting manner all are so near to me. I moved away or around the world, yet my bonds with the family continued. I will always remember him by his smile, twinkle in his eye, the twinkle that lit up when the subject was his family. I remember Mr. Schmiederer as an exemplary and dedicated father.. the Ward Cleaver of Leave it to Beaver... always willing to listen, well grounded. I amso fortunate to have had him and his family present in my life. He will be missed by all of those that knew him. rest in peace.... Love Dara
