Clovis, California - Janessa Rae Tyler, 34 of Clovis passed away at her home on Friday, May 6, after a fierce battle against breast cancer.
Janessa was born October 26, 1987 in Fresno, to Nikki and Rex Tyler.
Janessa grew up and spent her entire life in Clovis, graduating from Clovis East in 2006. She attended Fresno State, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism in 2011, followed by a 10 year career writing for the Fresno Bee and McClatchy publications.
Janessa is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ramon James Torres and their 8 month old son Tyler James Torres of Clovis, parents Rex and Nikki Tyler of Clovis, sister Jordanne Cheney (Greg) of Sanger, her grandmother Donna Nunes Croteau (Dan) of Clovis and Janessa's devoted in-laws Cindy DeSoto and Raymond Torres of Fresno.
Janessa was a compassionate, caring women. She enjoyed writing, spending time with her large family, her lifelong girlfriends, and many memorable trips exploring the world with Ramon. She was an avid supporter of PAW Squad, fostering literary hundreds of furry friends the past 10 years,
On Thursday, May 19, please join us at The Refinery Church West at 3014 W. McKinley Ave, Fresno for Janessa's memorial. Visitation is from 4 - 6 pm, followed by a church service starting at 6 pm.
Final interment will be Friday, June 3 at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Janessa's favorite charity, PAW Squad, 1840 Shaw Ave, Suite 105/48, Clovis, Ca 93611.
