La Quinta, California - Jim Hunsaker was born August 9th, 1938 in Porterville, California to L.K. Hunsaker and Emma Hunsaker of Terra Bella, California. Jim passed away on October 14, 2021, at home in La Quinta, California.
Jim was educated in Porterville and graduated from Porterville High School in 1956. He then went on to attend Porterville Junior College. His summer vacations from school were spent helping his Dad with his farming business.
Jim worked for the Bank of America for 40 years, starting as a bank teller at the Hanford Office. He steadily progressed, eventually becoming Vice President of Santa Cruz Main Office.
Jim's retirement years were spent living in PGA West in La Quinta, California, trying to perfect his golf game. He did manage to achieve three holes in one during this time.
Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon Hunsaker, daughter Julie Hatch and husband Rick Hatch of Scottsdale, Arizona, daughter Lorrie, of Scottsdale, Arizona, brother-in-law Steve Gross, of Fresno, California, plus many extended family members and friends.
A remembrance of Jim's life will be held after the first of the year in Fresno, California.

Dear Sharon!! So sad to hear of Jim's leaving us! Deanna and I send you our sincerest condolences and prayers to you and your family! Praying the Lord is comforting you in His loving arms! Remebering fun times with Jim over the years and we are privileged to have called Jim a friend!! Much love and prayers to you!!
