Reedley, California - Mrgr. John Esquivel was born on May 6, 1942. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the age of 83.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua North, located at 1018 N. Frankwood Ave., Reedley, CA 93654 followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua North, at 1018 N. Frankwood Ave., Reedley, CA.

Father John (as we knew him) married us in 1971 @ St John´s Cathedral in Fresno. We were lucky enough to become friends. We kept a horse he had rescued at our little ranch. Tony was his name! I don´t think Father John was ever able to ride him because whenever he would come to visit, Tony would fake a limp. So Father John felt bad for him and would just brush him & give him a treat. . He was such a good hearted man.
