Bishop Madera was a true Christian man. He loved and cared for everybody. Even after being appointed a bishop he still remained the people's parish priest. He impacted so many lives in such a deeply spiritual Godly manner. He will be dearly missed by all. I will miss his stories and his fun and kind demeanor. If you needed correcting, he gave it to you! May he rest In eternal glory with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will miss you so much Tio! Thank you for loving me and caring about me!

Bishop Madera helped me in my toughest times when I was thinking about abortion and helped say yes to life. He guided me through all my pregnancy. My baby is now 11 months old and I love him so much . Thank you❤. Rest In Peace. You will always be in our hearts.

Father Madera as he was known when I lived in Oxnard gave me my first job at the age of 16 as a Teachers Aide at Guadalupe School. Father Madera you will be missed by so many people. Rest in peace Bishop Madera.

I have fond memories of the activities Father Madera provided for us teenagers of the Colonia. He was God sent at a time of such turbulence. I've been praying for Bishop Madera all week, when in actuality he should be praying for us since he is already in heaven. Thank you and bless you Father Madera.

Bishop Madera was a giant of a priest here in Oxnard. He is remembered as Father Madera. He was a friend to me and I will always remember him for his teaching and impact on the community. I referred to him on some occasions as the POPE of Oxnard. My humble blessings. John Flynn
