Clovis, California - Josie was born in Fresno, Ca October 10, 1943 to Francisco and Jessie Luna. She passed away surrounded with the love of family in Clovis, Ca on September 11th, 2021. Josie married Ray, the love of her life twice and was the beat of his heart until his passing in November 2020. In 2013 Josie and Ray embraced adventure and moved to South Lake Tahoe to be near their grandchildren and celebrate the gifts of life. Jo lived her life as a child of God, loving wife, loving sister, mother, joyful grandma, best friend, trusted confidant, lover of mariachi and Motown music, dancing, road tripper, world traveler, party goer, and party thrower. Josie possessed a strong faith in God which she shared with family and friends and many prayer chains. Jo marveled at the beauty of the earth. She had an infectious laugh and was so much fun to walk, travel, and explore with. Josie is survived by her sister and brother in law Jenny and Victor Martinez, stepdaughter Carol Villalobos, step sons Anthony and Tommy Martinez, daughter Lisa Carlson, grandchildren Zen, Alyx, and Makai Carlson, niece Dena Gonzalez and many cousins. Mass will be held at OLPH church in Clovis on September 28th, 2021 at 11 am.
