JOYCE SPRY Obituary

Joyce, age 84, of Fresno died on September 16, 2014. She was the Director of Teacher Placement in the CSUF Career Services Office and, upon retirement, enjoyed performing in Fresno City College's "New Wrinkles" production. She volunteered much of her time to the University of California, San Francisco Alzheimer's Disease Center for which she received congressional recognition. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, William F. Spry, an accounting professor at Fresno City College. She is survived by her sons, William and Matthew; her sisters, Loretta of Daly City and Mary of Los Alamitos; brother Robert of Campbell; and many nieces and nephews for whom she was a favorite aunt. Inurnment will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella and is being arranged by Chapel of the Light. Remembrances to UCSF Fresno Alzheimer's & Memory Center, 6137 N. Thesta Ave., Ste. 101B, Fresno, CA 93710.
