Jesus, today, October 23, 2017, I have decided to accept your offer to join you in heaven. I looked at my husband, Norman Pitts, whom I was married to for 52 years, my children, Lisa Taylor and Kurtis Pitts, and my grandchildren, Chelsey and Sean Hunt, Katrina Taylor, and Sophia Pitts, and realized they will be okay because they know and love you.
I have lived a remarkable life and was able to share my love of teaching with my many students at Heaton School, and Cantua Creek School, and Winton School, as well as all the others who were inspired and enjoyed my art. I got to do something few people get to do and that is work at what I loved. A special thank you to all who purchased my work. My family and friends were of unbelievable support and love.
I was born in New York on October 6, 1942, to my father, Willard Lloyd, and mother, Lillian Lloyd. I dearly loved my only brother, Steward Lloyd and his wife Eileen, and children, Carole and Bill. I will be joining him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverview Shelter on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. The price of admission will be for you to bring something to share, be it food, drink, a memory, and tons of love, since I dedicated my life to sharing love where I could.
In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to the Marjaree Mason Center for all those less fortunate than me.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Linda, you are so missed. We had such a good run at our art space at Sorensen's. You were always up and greeting everyone with one of your big smiles and lifting everyones spirits. So many came to see your beautiful and colorful work and still do. One of the last comments to me at the gallery was to make sure to tell you what a talented and outstanding artist you were. I know you will be inspiring others with your inspiration and love in heaven. Love you and miss you. Diane and Bruce

Mrs. Pitts was my 3rd grade teacher in Cantua in 1976 and set the bar for all others teachers. Truly a great teacher and person. I could tell even at that young age that she was a special person who could touch and shape lives. She made learning fun and interesting for me and to this day, when asked who was my favorite teacher, I immediately reply with a smile, Mrs. Pitts.

Linda was a beautiful woman, always ready to share her knowledge of Artwork, I met Linda over 9 yrs ago, and she showed me all of the beautiful artists and artwork Fresno had to offer, then she was my source of knowledge in helping me open The Pepper Tree Gallery. I will always love and remember her. R.I.P Linda

I "met" Linda several years ago in a "Dog Chat" room on AOL. We clicked and our friendship moved to private discussions on dogs, art and politics. She was always warm and funny. I will miss her for a very long time.

Mrs. Pitts was my third grade teacher about 25 years ago, at Heaton elementary. She taught my two brothers before me and I remember hoping when second grade was up to be lucky enough to be placed in her class as well. I was, and it was incredible. Mrs. Pitts taught me the word "serendipity" and that school could be something to look forward to. I remember once, not fulfilling a promise I had made and upsetting her, it still bums me out to this day.
I am a father now with a beautiful little girl named Rose, who just started pre-school last week. As I walked her to the front door I was thinking "I cant wait for you to have a teacher like Mrs. Pitts".
