Manuel Rueda was born on November 27, 1952, in Kingsburg, California, to Raymond and Consuelo Rueda. Manuel was the 5th child in a family of 8 siblings. Manuel's early years were lived in Parlier, Selma, Grover City and eventually Fresno. Manuel worked the farm fields as a young boy alongside his brothers, sisters and mother and father. Manuel attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1970. Later in life Manuel became a talented handyman but also worked as a machine operator at Bonners Packing Company. Manuel's passion for motorcycles started at an early age leading to his purchase of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Manuel's passion for riding was well known by all who knew him. Some of Manuel's best memories and experiences were those on road trips with his "Harley." Manuel was blessed when he met Oshia Mae Cook. Together Manuel and Oshia raised two daughters, Skye and Shannon. After Manuel and Oshia ended their relationship, Manuel met Arlene George.
Manuel and Arlene would share their lives while living in Aromas, California until her death. After Arlene's death, Manuel moved to Fresno. While living in Senior apartments, Manuel met Aida Arellano. Aida and Manuel shared their lives happily until her death. Manuel loved life and took every opportunity to live it to the fullest. Those fortunate to know him, knew he was quick to smile, full of corny and inappropriate jokes, and the very first person to give a hug when needed. Manuel was also a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. For years, Manuel, his daughter Shannon, and his sister Mary, would travel far and near to support their baseball team. Following his Cardinals was a life passion Manuel truly loved. Manuel will be remembered as a loving father, a loyal life partner, cherished brother and trusted friend.
