MARJORIE WINTERS Obituary

Marjorie Winters, lov-ing mother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Her friends and family will always remember her love of God, outgoing personality, quick wit and zest for life. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband and son. Marge was born in San Jose, California on February 3, 1931. She was raised in Reedley and later moved to the Fresno area with her husband, Sam. They raised a son, Gary, and daughter, Cheryl, who, along with their grandson, nieces and nephews, were their greatest joy in life. Marge was later blessed with three beautiful great granddaughters. Marge retired following a 15 year career in Interior Decorating. She loved baseball, basketball and her trips to the coast with Cheryl. She cherished time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and George Rogers; daughter-in-law, Sandra Winters; grandson, Richard Winters and his wife Sarah; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Maxine Zante; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Sylvia Zante; sister, Barbara DeLaurant; brother and sister-in-law, John and Esther Zante; granddaughters, Lilly and Alison Luna and Elizabeth Winters, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Her family would like to thank her caretakers, Nancy Salas, Hester Castillo and Margret Fox as well as Hinds Hospice, Dr. Kantam Gade, Dr. Thomas Hackett, and Dr. George Bertolucci for the outstanding care that they and their support staffs provided for Marge. A Graveside service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that remembrances in Marge's memory be sent to Hinds Hospice at 1416 W. Twain, Fresno, CA 93711.
