Matt, I just want to tell you how much I'm going to miss your BEAUTIFUL smile and your hugs. You are one of the most amazing persons I have ever met in my life. I'll miss you so much, but the memories I have in my heart.. will last forever. To Matt's family, you have such an amazing son. He made an impression on so many people.. even if they were just acquantences. He will never be forgotten. You should be such proud parents.

Hey bro, its moose. We had some great times playing music and working under the hoods of cars. We are all going to miss you. You were one of my best friends while I was in Atwater. I can't wait to see you again. My whole family misses you.

i still cant believe your gone.. i'll miss you so much... even tho i only knew you for a short period of time you made such a big impact in my life.. i'll remember all the great times we had together.. we always had so much fun.. there was never a borin moment wit you... i'll always remember the day you gave me a ride on your motorcyle.. my toes were so cold and i was so scared.. the fun times i'll always rememvber and your big o smile.. It still seems so unreal to me. Matt you were one of a kind. You never showed me a bad time even if we just stood outside of my house at one in the morning we always had something to laugh about and talk about. You always lived your life how you wanted to. I will never forget all those good times we shared. How you made an effort to hang out all the time. How you didn't mind me texting you a million times. You are such a good friend. I will always remember you. Even though you remembered me from high school first. This time I won't forget you. Your smile. Braveness. jokes. your red buggy. Your crazy stories. That time I got to ride in your sweet new truck. everything you were that made you matt. I will forever remember Ventura California after a week meeting each other we drove out for the weekend. I just knew we were going to be really good friends within those few seconds of meeting you. We some how clicked and connected. I loved how you were so open minded to many things. Even if it wasnt your style of music you didn't mind coming to shows with us. I will miss the hang out crew me, you, ray and steph. I'm thankful to have met you. You will be truly missed matt.

You know I wake up everyday, hoping, praying, that this is all just a bad dream and at any min. your gonna call me and make me laugh like you always did...
But I guess we all have to come to terms that your gone, physically, I will carry our memories, our laughs, our little inside jokes, the time we got stranded & stuck at Lost Lake Lol... all of those little moments we shared, I will carry with me in my heart for the rest of my life...
You hold a very special place in my life and heart...
I know we didnt know each other a long time, but I believe God put you here for this short time to be our Angel here on Earth... And now God has called you back... I know you'll still be our Angel, just with a better view....

I know everyone says it, but I definitely can't believe that you're gone. Well in the physical sense anyway because I know that you are with us all in our hearts. It saddens me that we grew apart as high school progressed. But I will always have the memories of us in class and such hanging out and having a good time. Thank you for being a good friend and person in general. You are greatly missed, and you'll never ever be forgotten.

There are no words to describe what kind of friend he was. He got along with everybody didnt get into it with anyone and just loved to have fun.We went from discusing girlfriends, to skateboarding and just living life. Bro your gonna be missed. Matt, I've known you for the greater portion of my life. You were there for me through thick and thin and you made me laugh when I was about to cry. I love you with more of my heart that I ever knew I could love a friend. Your passing has come as more of a shock to me than anything. I am still trying to actually adjust to the idea that you're gone. I send my love and prayers to your family. P.S. You promised that if you went to heaven first you would bribe God into letting me through the gates.... get started. =) I love you!

May the lord be with you and comfort you in this time of sorrow for your family. I had the pleasure of having Matt as a student in class and as an athlete on the JV football team. It has been said before by many others that Matt was a very respectful young man. I can attest to that. He was a very bright young man and worked very hard to be successful. It was a shock to hear of the news of Matt's passing. He will definitely be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him or working with him. God Bless.

Hey Matt,
its Denny, i remember all the times over the summer when you came over and we played video games when you came to see my sister. i remember when you took on both, me and my sister in wrestling in our front yard and you beat both of us at the same time. haha. you were always sooo funn bro. your in a far better place and in peace now, you were always helping people, and i looked up to you and thought you were so cool, because you were. its just sad that your not with us in prescence but you are with us in spirit and heart. thanks for getting me into bass bro, i love it sooo much, me and a few of my buddies are gonna start to jam now. my sister is doing pretty good, my mom took it kinda hard for a bit. and me and Amanda still cant beleive that we cant see you anymore. i love you bro. Matthew - We'll miss your smile, your energy, that crazy laugh and watching you play at your gigs with all the girls screaming and you just loving every moment of it. But I know that you and Grandpa are in heaven watching over us, playing your guitars together and seeing how fast your wings will take you. You will always be in our hearts and prayers. Matt was an awesome friend and great swimmer. He always made jokes when we were at practice and made everyone laugh, he was just a good person to be around. I would have to say the most precious thing he held to his heart was his red ford mustang, he loved that car. I remember when we were younger we use to sit in his front yard just talking about the most random things, its those moments that i will miss the most about Matt. I know hes looking down right now laughing at all those crazy times we had. Goodbye Matt I will miss you.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Matt was a household name in our home the year he graduated. You see he dated my daughter Samantha their senior year. They went to several dances and were on the swim team together. He was such a joy to have around our home, he was always respectful and helpful, and also treated Samantha well, that was nice to see in such a young man. To his mom and dad, be proud of who he was to so many people and know that God put him into our lives to make things better for the time being. I know that the memories I have of him will always be greeted with a smile on my face, because he always had such a gift to make others feel better and laugh. He will truly be missed by all....

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Your son was a very special guy. We had a great time with him on our swim team at Buhach Colony. We valued his being on the team more than his ability in a race. Though, he never lacked in racing ability. He was great to just be around. I know Rodd and I will miss him a lot. First off I wanted to let Matt's parents know that your son was an awsome kid... You raised him to be respectful and loving... You see he dated my daughter Samantha (Sam) there senior year and he spent alot of time over our home eating, laughing and just hanging out.. I really enjoyed him.. I will always remember how beautiful you looked pregnant with that "tight" dress you wore at 8 months pregnant. My favorite memory of Matthew is when you and I were at a second hand store and Matthew was hiding from you in the clothes. He was being silly. You were off that day at FCH and I was not - so I snuck and met you two there.

Cathy, its been a long time since working with you at FCH, but I remember the gigantic picture you had of Matt in your transcription office, in the washtub with little rubber duck! I read the paper this evening and saw the sad news. May God comfort you and your family through this very difficult time. I too lost my son of only 18 months, and know what a mothers grief is like. I have many fond memories of Matthew. I first met him when he was in junior high with my twin daughters Jacqueline and Kathleen Brigham. He came over quite frequently to help with 'homework', eat dinner and even accompanied my daughter Kathleen to a high school dance. He always greeted me with a hug and my husband a handshake. Even though I had not seen Matt in a while I wished nothing but the best for him. He has a special and loving spirit. I like to think he is on his next adventure and my daughter Jacqueline is there to greet him and show him around. From one mother to another Matt has found his peace and we must find ours. Much Love
