San Diego, California - Mearlene Nay Page was born on March 19, 1937, in Atlanta, Texas, to proud parents Mearl and Rose Bordagaray Nay. She passed away on April 12, 2024, in San Diego, California.
Mearlene graduated from Coalinga High School in 1955, Coalinga College in 1957, and Fresno State College with a Masters Degree in Special Education. She dedicated 38 years of her life to teaching for the Coalinga Huron Unified School District.
During her college years, she met the love of her life, Bill Page. They were married until his passing on October 5, 2003. Mearlene cherished her loving family, including her daughter Janay, son Scott, and granddaughters Emily and Bella.
Known by many endearing names such as Mearlene, Madre, Mama, Nana Banana, and Mearlena, she was the cornerstone of her family. Her wisdom, determination, and exceptional skill with a needle and thread endeared her to all who knew her. As a devout Catholic, her unwavering faith sustained her through numerous challenging health issues.
Mearlene's passing has left a profound void that cannot be filled. However, her legacy of love and strength will continue to radiate through generations. Rest peacefully, Mom. You will be forever missed but never forgotten. Private services pending. Donations can be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church 637 Sunset St. Coalinga CA 93210 for your favorite charity.

The Page family were great neighbors to have on our street growing up on College Street. She was an excellent cook also. She could see practically anything. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.
