NAZARETH CHADERJIAN Obituary

Nazareth M. Chaderjian had a deep love for his Lord, his family, and being with people. He had a very full life of almost 87 years, and he lived it with zeal. His life was characterized by love and laughter. Nazareth was born to Mgrdich and Sarah Chaderjian on February 28, 1925, in Highland Park, Michigan. Together with his older sister, Ann, he grew up and graduated from high school in Waukegan, Illinois. His mother passed away when he was only ten, but the family of three was filled with much love, fun, and great Armenian food cooked by his father. Naz, also known as Chad, moved to Fresno, California, with his father, where he met and married the love of his life, Stella, in 1948. Their marriage would last nearly 64 years, and they were blessed with two sons, Neal and Bruce, and two loving daughters-in-law, Wendy and Anie. Naz was a wonderful father who gave his sons the most precious gift he could, his time. He was also blessed with four precious grandchildren, Sarah, Lisa, Aria, and Daniel. They were the apple of his eye! He greatly loved his niece and nephews and cherished his many dear cousins and friends. Naz always sought to further himself. He earned the highly respected MAI designation in real estate appraising and he worked for Caltrans for 36 years. He was a member of the Appraisal Institute and a charter member of the International Right of Way Association of Fresno. Naz was an active member of the Fresno Triple X Armenian Fraternity, the Men's Society of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, and the Men's Forum of Saint Paul's Armenian Church. He also loved attending Bible Study Fellowship, praying to his Lord, and enjoying the many blessings of Christian fellowship and love. Naz went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in Fresno, after a battle with cancer. Recently he had difficulty remembering things, but each time he was told of his condition he would respond in faith the same way, "We will trust the Lord with this." His family will miss him greatly, but takes great comfort in knowing he is with his precious Lord. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 Visitation will be held at Yost & Webb Funeral Home in Fresno on Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in Fresno on Friday, February 3, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church; or the Armenian Missionary Association of America, Orphan/ Child Care, 31 W. Century Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652.

My family had the priviledge of meeting Naz last month for the first time. I really wanted them to meet Naz because he and Stella are such wonderful people and a great couple.

His warmth and great sense of humor were always with him and his 2 sons are a testimony to his dedication as a father. He will be dearly missed.
