OCTAVIA OWENS Obituary
Octavia born October 2, 1930, went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 21, 2014. Born in Naylor, Missouri to Andrew and Ida Richmond, Octavia was one of seven children.
She met the love of her life, Kenneth Owens, in Sanger, CA during the Dust Bowl era. They married, created a loving home for their ten children, and later enjoyed numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren.
Octavia enjoyed gardening, travel, and was a devoted member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Owens and daughter Deborah Bambrough. She is survived by her loving children April Linn, Michael Owens, David Owens, Judy Baldwin, Elizabeth Fujinami, William Owens Jr., Gladys Martinez, Mark Owens, Greg Owens and their spouses along with numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren. Her family wishes to thank the caring staff at both Clovis Community Medical Center and Hinds Hospice for the excellent care they provided--we will always be grateful. Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be officiating by Brother Stoney Porter at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 'L' Street, Fresno, California (559)266-0666
