Ophelia Baiz Obituary
November 19, 1944 - July 8, 2025
Fresno, California - On July 8, 2025, Ophelia Baiz, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Ophelia is survived by her three children: Melissa Santos Posas, Mark Santos, Michael R. Santos and his wife Jaimee Santos; Six grandchildren: Deanna Posas, Michael A. Santos, Daniela Santos Doyle, Delayna Posas, Mia Santos, and Ella Santos; and two great-grandsons, Ezra Santos and Miles Santos. Ophelia is also survived by her three sisters, Mary Baiz Olague, Sylvia Baiz Ramirez, and Sandra Baiz Renteria, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ophelia was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Jessie Baiz, Son-in-law, Paul Posas Jr., sister Gloria Baiz Flores, and former husband, Edward Santos.
A Celebration of Ophelia's Life will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025 beginning with a Catholic Mass at St. Peter's Cemetery Chapel at 11 a.m., and will continue at the VFW Post 8900 from 1-6 p.m.
