Patricia Norton Obituary

Patricia Goodwin Reap Norton "Graw"
February 23, 1927 - December 20, 2020
Fresno, California - Pat was born on February 23, 1927, to James and Ethel Goodwin in Fresno, CA. and passed peacefully in her home on December 20, 2020.
The family moved to Bishop, CA when she was in the 7th grade. She lived in Bishop until she returned to Fresno to attend Fresno State University where she obtained her teaching credential in 1948. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and made many lifelong friends while at Fresno State.
She was a member of The Fig Garden Women's Club and Fresno Opera League. Pat loved to paint, dance, play tennis and loved music.
She treasured her family dearly. She is survived by her children Jim Reap, Marty Reap and his wife Janet Paparazzo, Diana Reap and her partner Stan Ridenour, her granddaughter Erin Harper and her partner Josh Wyckoff, granddaughter Kayleigh Moranda and her husband Seth Moranda, her sister Shirley Biglione, niece Lisa Lerandeau and nephew Joe Biglione and his family, Robin Nick and Nolan Biglione.
Pat taught kindergarten for 36 years and loved her career and her students. She always knew growing up that she wanted to teach kindergarten. It was truly her passion. Pat's children often hear from total strangers how much they loved her and that she was their favorite teacher.
The family would give special thanks to the amazing women that took such good care of Pat over the last couple of years, Dawn Adams, Linda In, Sandra Perez, Rae Duran and Maria Gastel of Geriatric In-Home Care and Julia Tsao for her beautiful friendship and massages her pains away. A special thank you to Denise DeSantos for your weekly visits and lunches, Pat always looked forward to Tuesdays. And thank you to Jesse Shows, a devoted friend, and neighbor who never let the family down when they needed help.
Pat has requested in lieu of flowers remembrance to be sent to any no-kill animal shelter in her memory.
Due to COVID, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
