Paul Behringer Obituary
July 12, 1950 - November 3, 2021
Fresno, California - Paul Behringer was born in Sonoma, California. His dad was CHP so he lived all over the state. He graduated from East Bakersfield High School and moved to the bay area. At Diablo Valley Community College, he majored in Architectural Construction Technology. After completing his degree, Paul served in the Navy Seabees as part of a 13 man special forces team with multiple deployments in the South Pacific from 1970-1974. After being honorably discharged, Paul moved to Fresno and continued his education at Fresno State majoring in engineering. He worked as a surveyor and built swimming pools. He won the National Design Excellence award in 1980 for a spa that he designed and built. Paul opened a light construction business in the mid-80s that he ran for 30+ years.
Paul was a life-long traveler. He loved seeing new places, cruising, snorkeling and history. In retirement, Paul became a model train enthusiast. Paul was proud to be an honorary member of East Fresno Rotary.
Paul is predeceased by his parents Rolland and Virginia Behringer, his brother Mark Behringer and his son Josh Behringer. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Behringer, his daughter Amanda, her husband Nathan Unruh and their three sons, his step-son Dan Meyers wife Andrea Cartwright and their two sons, step-son Matt Meyers, his wife Jenn along with their two sons and one daughter.
