PHILIP JORDAN Obituary

Pastor Jordan, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, from a stroke. He was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor from The Augustana Theological Seminary in Rock Island, Il. in June 1945. He served as Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church in Waterford, Mi, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fresno, where he served 32 years. He enjoyed retirement living at San Joaquin Gardens for 12 years. He and his wife, Marion, were married 66 years. Their children, Steve, Ruth, Beth and Dan are all deceased. He is survived by his wife Marion; son-in-law, Paul Hedin; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Jordan; grandchildren Taylor and his wife Jennifer, Matt and his wife Jean, Andrea and her husband Mike, David and his wife April, Diana and her fiancé Jake; five great-grandchil-dren; nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery, on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church; or San Joaquin Gardens.
