Ralph Edgar Hood, Jr., was born on January 17, 1920, and passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013. He was a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco. Ralph was the owner of Hoods Pharmacy for 40 years; past president of the Fresno Madera Pharmecutical Association; and a member of the Roosevelt Dad's Club. He was also an avid golfer. He was preceeded in death by his sister, Barbara Ferguson, of Las Vegas; and grandson, Matthew Heintz. Ralph is survived by his wife Virginia; daughter, MaryAnn Callahan and her husband David; his grandchild, Melissa Manriques and her husband Daniel; great-grandchildren, Brendon, Zachary, and Luke Manriques, and Jacob and Lauren Heintz, and their mother Kathleen. Dear Virginia,
I was saddened to read about Ralph's passing. Before retiring I was a Pharmaceutical Detailman and called on Hood's Phcy. located on Ventura Ave.,
Both Ralph and his father were gentlemen and professional people and nice to be around. Ralph's passing is like an ending to an era. After the sale of the store I would see Ralph when he would do some relief work at various stores.
I am sorry for your loss and happy that Ralph has left many good memories for the whole family.
