RICHARD FANSLER Obituary

Richard, born in Sanger, California, on January 31, 1926, passed away in his home with his beloved wife by his side on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Richard was a poultry farmer for most of his life and was diagnosed with multiple-myeloma in 2001. He fought the disease undergoing many years of chemo therapy and put on a very brave fight as only he could. He taught us all a valuable lesson about how to handle sickness and to never give up on this precious life that he so deeply valued. He was dearly loved and will be in our thoughts and prayers forever. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Box-Noriega for the compassion and skill that she provided for Richard in the last years of his life. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Pearl and Richard Fansler; his sisters, Ruth Garcia and Teeney Simon. Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna; his son, Rick and his wife, Margie, his daughter, Ronda Woods and her husband, John; two sisters, Bobbie Merkt of San Leandro and Joyce Daly of Grass Valley; and his only brother, Roy Fansler of Red Bluff; his grandchildren, Leighann Cobb, Ashlee Wheeler and Eric Woods; and by many nieces and nephews. A Private gathering to honor Richard's life will be held at a later date. Remembrances may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 650 W. Alluvial Ave, Fresno, Ca 93650 NEPTUNE SOCIETY Of Central California 1154 W. Shaw Avenue Fresno(559) 222-7764

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We did tractor work for Mr. Fansler and enjoyed when he would come into the store to get parts and talk with him. Our deepest condolences for your family in this sad time. He will be missed and not forgotten. From Mac's Equipment Repair Kerman, CA
