Fresno , California - Richard Frederick Grill was born on January 20,1927, in San Francisco, California and went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from Fresno High School. He was a member of Army World War ll Veteran, went to Fresno State University, Elks Lodge, Edison Social Club, Exchange Club, Bull Dog Foundation, Masons, New Wrinkles, and Retired Teachers Chorus. He first married Billie Jean Wilson who passed away. On August 1, 2002, he married Rosemarie Wylie Grill. Richard is survived by his 5 loving children and their spouses, his pride and joy 12 grandchildren and their spouses, and 15 great-grandchildren. Richard loved to travel around the world with Rosemarie. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Richard is now resting in peace and will be deeply missed. Always loved by his family and friends. His Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:30am at the Chapel of the Light on 1620 W. Belmont Ave., Fresno, Ca 93728.

I was his "guardian" in 2010 for Northern California honor flight, taking him and 29 other veterans to their war memorial in Washington DC. He was one of my special veterans and offered me friendship as well as instilled in me further pride in our country. I have always missed him and will continue.
