ROBERT A. CAMPOS

Robert A. Campos passed away peacefully on May 15, 2015, at the age of 89. Robert was born in Clovis, CA, on December 7, 1925, to Antonio and Salude Campos. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army. He was a successful life insurance executive for Franklin Life Insurance Company for over 50 years. He was a consecutive member of the world-wide Million Dollar Round Table and several other insurance industry organizations. He also helped found Pacifica Federal Savings, which merged with San Diego Federal, which later became Great Western Savings. He was a past president of the North Fresno Optimist Club. Robert earned many lifetime awards and achievements during his very successful career. He was active in social and numerous charitable organizations. In 1983, he was awarded the Latin American Businessman's Club Man of the Year Award. He and his wife were active members of St. Helen's Catholic Church. He firmly believed that "Success in life consists of three things - Family, Business, and Religion." Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marie Alice Campos; daughter, Irene Yolanda Duran; and his grandson, Marcus Areyano. Robert is survived by his daughters, Theresa Meza and her husband Zeke, and Patty Romo and her husband Ruben; his son, Bobby Campos and his wife Mimi; his brother, Angelo Campos and his wife Dede. He is also survived by his present wife, Juanita Campos. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. A private Burial will follow.
