ROBERT E. "Bob" DeWITT

Bob was born on December 2, 1926, in Selma,CA to Dee and Nellie DeWitt of Fresno. He went to his heavenly home on March 20, 2014, surrounded by his family. He is survived by Doris DeWitt, his wife of 63 years; his brother, Richard De-Witt; sister, Betty Rose; his children, Janet Rusk, Rob DeWitt and Alyce Castleman. Bob en-joyed all five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Bob graduated from Roosevelt High. He proudly served in his country in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. Racing homing pigeons was a love of his for over 50 years. He retired from Fresno White Trucking Company in Fresno. His love for the outdoors took him to Dinkey Creek often fly fishing with family. Thank You to family and friends for all the love and support. In Lieu of flowers the family requests remembrances go to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fresno at 1084 W. Bullard Ave. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 1084 W. Bullard Ave.
