Vivian B. DeWitt (Grammy D) (Aunt Winnie), 99, of Owego, NY (recently residing in Pittsburgh, PA) passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Cedar Hill Nursing Home. Vivian was born on May 14, 1926 to Ruby (Rider) Barrows and Carlton Brown and was predeceased by her husband, Fred DeWitt; and sister, Vera Ferguson. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hickein; her grandchildren, Kenneth Luby Jr. and Jill Luby (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Cooper Shetterly. Vivian loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, Nancy (Blayne) Hurley, Tom (Brenda) Ferguson, Larry (Debi) Ferguson, and Joseph Ferguson: Heather (Dante), Andy, Sarah (JP), Kevin (Paige), Mike (Lisa), Laura (Cam), Tommy (Kayla) and Katilynn (David); and beloved extended nieces, nephews and cousins. Vivian had a wonderful 40 year career with New York Telephone/Verizon. She loved life and was always enjoying her time with family and her many friends, spending time on Cayuga Lake, antiquing and garage sailing. Playing cards and bingo were two of her favorite things to do and she loved her Yankees. She was also a lifetime member of the Moose Club and American Legion and enjoyed attending the Methodist Church in Tioga Center, NY. Vivian led a wonderful and full life; loved and was loved by everyone; she will be greatly missed with many loving memories.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 17C West, Owego, NY on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 4:00-6:00pm. All are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at VFW Post 1371, 207 Main St. Owego, NY at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in memory of Vivian to the community organization of your choice. Please share your memories at www.RichardsFH.com
