ROBERT SUBIA Obituary

Robert, age 51, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle of colon cancer on Thursday morning, January 30, 2014. Robert was born and raised in Fowler, Ca. on October 18, 1962, to Antonia and Robert Subia Sr. Robert, who also went by the name Bobby, was a forklift driver for a local trucking company until his unfortunate accident. He had a love for his favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his children playing sports. He lived vicariously through his children. He was an active member with Sacred Heart School, as a coach and later on as the Althelic Director. Even though their resources were limited, he always made sure they had what they needed. In addition, he organized many successful PAL tournaments for all the Catholic schools. He enjoyed his Sunday afternoons with family and friends watcing sports and bar-b-ques. He is survived by his wife, Martina Subia; the loves of his life, Marina Bliss Subia and Robert Subia III; his mother, Antonia Subia; his father, Robert Subia Sr. and his wife Morene Subia; his sisters, Virginia Belton, Yolanda Subia, Tina Gianonni and Jackie Caldwell; his brothers, Tony Subia, Daniel Subia and Manuel Subia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, god children and friends. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Fowler District Cemetery. Papa bear!

Man this feels so unreal daddy, not waking up to you and hearing you yell at boucher to do his chores lol. Or hearing you get mad at me cause i would pester you so much.

Dad not a day goes by that you are not on my mind. I think of you constantly and wish I could wake up from this nightmare. But now that would be selfish on my part , daddy you ARE the most courageous man i have ever known, God granted me with an awesome father. Dad you were always my bestfriend and i could count on you for everything, I miss you more and more everyday.

I love you dad and i will talk to you soon:)

love your favorite child:) <3

Bobby will always have a special place in our hearts.

At Sacred Heart School, he coached and mentored many of our youth by teaching us the importance of good sportsmanship and keeping the faith when times are rough. Bobby had an everlasting love for all of us and there was no inconvenience for him.

I learned yesterday that Bobby had a knack for nick names. I remember when he first called me 'AJ' when I was a young boy. To this day, every time I hear "AJ" I think of him and smile.

Marty, Bobby & Marina, your husband and father lives through you. Although we deeply miss Bobby, we take great comfort in knowing that Bobby dwells in the glory of God's heavenly kingdom. Bobby will always intercede to guide and protect you.

With all our love,
Adam, Elisa, Vanessa & Ralph Jimenez
