Royce Edwards Obituary

ROYCE G. EDWARDS, SR. Royce was born on June 24, 1941, in Texas to Jasper and Elizabeth Edwards. He entered the memorial tomb on January 19, 2007. After meeting a friend at school, and getting past her five brothers, he married Neotha M. Pierce on December 16, 1959. Being decisive he made his dedication to Jehovah God and symbolized it with his baptism on July 23, 1960. Once dedicated, he made self-sacrifice a way of life, including serving as an Elder, Regular Pioneer, and a public speaker at the Circuit Assemblies and District Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses. His determination lasted until the day of his death. (Job 27:5) Providing for his family, he spent the last 37 years in the construction trade as a Construction Inspector and Construction Manager serving the City of Fresno and California State University, Fresno. Thank you to our friends who showed themselves self- less, our family faces this time of grief nestled in your loyalty and kindness. As a family we have received a gift of love and support from your hearts to ours. Royce was preceded in death by his father, Jasper D. Edwards, Sr. Royce is survived by Neotha M. Edwards of Fresno, California, his beloved wife of 47 years; his mother, Elizabeth Edwards; three older brothers, Jasper D. Edwards, Jr., Curtis A. Edwards, and Frederick P. Edwards and his wife Eunice; all of Fresno, California. (Psalm 127:4) He made room in his heart for all of his grandchildren, Keisha T. Edwards, and her mother, Paula and sister, Taylor; Jessica N. Edwards and her mother, Esther; Desmond A. and Sidney S. Edwards; Camille A. and Alexis R. Edwards; all of Fresno, California. They will all miss their "Papa."
