STEVEN SALAS Obituary

Steven Salas was born in Fresno, CA to Rebecca (Sanchez) Salas and Roel Salas on November 7, 1984. He passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Steven enjoyed servicing cars, riding his ATV, and caring for his beloved Bullies. He was currently employed as a service technician at Selma Kia, and worked for several years at Oil Changers in Clovis, CA. He was known for his hard work, professionalism with customers, and his outgoing personality. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raul and Maria Sanchez, and Margarita Salas. Steven is survived by his parents, Roel and Rebecca Salas; brother, Israel Salas; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The Salas family would like to thank all their family and friends, and Steven's friends and co-workers, who have been supportive through this difficult time. Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, September 12, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

I knew Steven all the years he worked at Oil Changers Clovis. His big smile and helpful personality kept me coming back. I know the crew there has a broken heart at his passing. Today, when I heard the terrible news, I was shocked. Yes, I was just one of his many customers but he treated me like a friend. Mario and he were a great team. May God bring peace to his family and friends.

I still can't believe your gone as the days go by I ask myself why?? I guess I'll have to find peace with "God always takes the best ones home" selfishly I wish that wasn't true!!
