Thomas J. Beggs

Tom was born on October 6, 1916, in Hammond, In. and passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009, in Fresno, Ca. He was preceded in death by Margaret, his wife of 39 years; and grandson Matthew. Tom married Eva Evangelho on July 5, 1986. Tom bravely served in WW II in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a B24 Liberator pilot, 454 th Bomb Group, flying numerous missions in the European Theatre and earning two war commendations on June 1, 1945. Tom possessed an extreme faith in God and served his faith admirably all his life. As the old cliché goes, "Tom Never Met a Stranger". He is survived by his loving wife Eva; daughter, Mary Plumlee; son Thomas and his wife Michele; son Patrick and his wife Deborah; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as, an extended Evangelho family. In celebration of his life, a Graveside Service will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N.
