Valerie Villalobos Liles

Fresno, California - Valerie Villalobos Liles was born in 1960 and entered eternal life on November 1, 2025. She grew up in Sanger, graduated from Sanger High School and continued her education at Fresno City College and Fresno State. Her career in Radiology lasted 30 years as she advanced her positions to become the Director at the Fresno Heart Hospital. Her work was fulfilling and purposeful and she earned respect and appreciation for her skills.

Val married Jim Deaver and had a son, Christopher. She married the love of her life, Tim Liles, and they added son, Zackary, to their family. Valerie loved fiercely with compassion. Everyone who knew her was touched by her strength and nurturing spirit. Her heart was broken when, after 28 years, she lost Tim during Covid. In her grief, Val ventured into product development and in 2023 published her first novel.

Greeting Val in heaven are her husband, Tim, her parents, Joe B and Christine Villalobos, and her sister, Delores Gonzalez (Rene), and nephew Gilbert Gonzalez,.

Mourning her passing are her devoted sons, Chris Deaver and Zack Liles. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Saldate (Frank), Carol Jones (John), Anita Cisneros (Albert), Clara, and her brother, Joe E Villalobos (Kathie). She will be missed by the extended Villalobos family, the extended Liles family, and the Torosian family.

Val was a woman of great faith. She lived for 17 years in quiet strength with stage 4 cancer. She knew the obstacles in her path were her path and she lived each day with faith and purpose.

A celebration of her life will be held on December 11 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sanger. Rosary will start at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m.
