Steve, Cindy and Mark- I just learned of your father's passing through my mother and the article in the Visalia paper. Many great memories of our growing up on Powell Avenue. The last time I really had a chance to speak with your father was at Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1983 when we met accidentally. My sincere sympathy in your loss. The WW2 generation were never very expressive of their war experiences, which is a great testimony to their character. They were just doing a deadly job which had to be done. We owe them a lot.

Dave and Pat were our next door neighbors for over 40 years. They were
always there for you and very helpful when my parents needed any help.

It was an honor to get to know such a great man through Rotary. He always had just the right joke to go along with our speakers or one of his many blonde jokes. He was able to get us to donate lots of "happy dollars". Dave had holiday socks that he loved showing off. He will be missed and his service to our Country and to Rotary is appreciated.
