WADE LEX MORTON

Wade Morton peacefully passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018. He was the fifth and youngest child born to William and Laura Morton. Wade was born on August 4, 1922, in Italy, TX. Wade met his future wife, Geraldine in his sister's little grocery market in Delhi, CA. Wade and Geraldine were married for 64 years. Geraldine passed away on October 13, 2011. They had three children. Dad worked several jobs before working for Shell Oil Company for many years, where he retired after 27 years. Wade loved his family and enjoyed a good joke and pulling pranks. Dad is loved, respected and the memories we have of him are cherished. Special thanks to Wade's caregivers at Riverside Home; and Hinds Hospice. He was preceded in death by his son Rodney, who went to be with the Lord on October 15, 1995; and his great-grandchild Eowyn, who passed away on June 1, 2013. Wade is survived by his daughter, Bonita and her husband Ernest; son, Kevin and his wife Bernadette; grandchildren, Melissa, Neville, Jessica, Zachary, Andrew, Bethany, and their spouses; and great-grandchildren, Brian, Kyleigh, Logan, Max, Dominic, and Ivy. A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice.
