WALTER LOCK Jr.

Walter was born on October 8, 1928, in Hanford, California and passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009, in Fresno, California. Walter attended grade school in Grangeville, California and graduated from Hanford High School, class of 1947. Served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. Walter, a restaurateur, retired in 1993, after having been associated with various restaurants in Fresno, The Leilani, The Luau, Nicola's and Phoenix West. He was also a member of the Men's Club of St. Peter the Apostle Orthodox Serbian Church. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and thank you to the doctors and nurses at Saint Agnes Medical Center and Golden Livingcenter- Hylond for all their care and the kindness and assistance from Asera Care Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lock, Sr. and Alice (Lock) Chow. Walter is survived by his brother, Maurice Lock; sisters Joycelyn Lock, Bonnie Lock, and JoAnn Lum; nephews Dr. Daryl Lum, Dr. Ryan Lum and wife Vivian; niece, Dr. Melissa (Lum) Harrison and her husband Scott; great-niece Chelsey Harrison; and greatnephew, Lucas Lum. A Memorial Service will be held at First Chinese Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Chinese Baptist Church, 6080 N.
