Wilda Yearout died on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at Lytton Gardens in Palo Alto, CA. She was 93. Born in Klamath Falls, OR, she was a fourth generation Oregonian. At an early age, she moved with her parents, Laura and Joseph Smith, to Fresno where she and her three brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Gerald, lived out their lives. At Fresno High School she met Raymond Lamar Yearout, her beloved partner for the next 75 years until his death in 2002. They had three children, Jody Yearout Clark, Floyd Yearout and John Frederick who died as an infant. Wilda and Ray lived on several family ranch properties on the Westside for the first years of their marriage before returning to Fresno. She was a member of the Llanada Guild and the Monday Study Group, and was an avid Bridge player and belonged to a number of book clubs. She is survived by her two children, five grandchildren, Laura Farrior Stanley, Jack H. Farrior III, Eric Farrior, John F. Yearout and Laura Yearout Paul; and 12 great-grandchildren. Jodie--I am so sorry to hear about your mother, my aunt. I am sure she's happy to be back with your dad. I know that mom could hardly wait to be with our dad.
