Patricia Ramme
December 19, 1951 - January 20, 2025
Patricia (Trish) Ann Ramme passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Wasilla, AK, at the age of 73.
Trish was born on December 19, 1951, in Minneapolis, MN. Trish was lovingly adopted by Henry and Virginia Ramme of Rochester, MN, and she became the little sister to Peter Michael Ramme. Trish grew up in Rochester, graduating from Mayo High School in 1969. After high school, Trish received a degree in radio broadcasting and became a radio host in Litchfield, MN. She loved music, radio broadcasting and all of the wildlife that Minnesota had to offer, especially watching the eagles and other wildlife from the family cabin on the Mississippi River in Wabasha, MN.
In the fall of 1999, Trish embraced her dream and her desire for simplicity and moved to Anchorage, AK. There, she found fulfillment in seeing moose in her backyard, the serene beauty of her surroundings and the lifestyle she cherished. Some of her happiest times in Alaska, were on adventures with her family and friends to Seward, Homer, Kenai Peninsula or Valdez. Professionally, Trish transitioned to working as a paralegal and proudly worked for Kenneth Kirk in Anchorage and the legal office of the Mat-Su Borough in Palmer. She loved her employers and coworkers and was a dedicated and hard worker.
During her retirement, Trish was blessed to find comfort in her home near the Mat-Su Valley on Hollywood Drive where she lived with her dogs, Missy, Lacy and Ginger, and her cat, Dawn. She later moved to Primrose Retirement Community and the Maple Springs Retirement Communities in Wasilla and Palmer. She met many new friends in these communities, enjoyed the social life and activities, and held multiple leadership roles within these care facilities.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Henry (Tart) and Virginia (Ginny) Ramme and many aunts and uncles. Trish is survived by her brother, Peter Ramme (Lynn), and their children: Lisa Ramme Latterell (Todd), Laura Ramme Giertsen (Drew), and Michael Peter Ramme (Katy); and many great-nieces and nephews that enjoyed visiting her beautiful life in Alaska. She also leaves behind many special friends, caregivers, and coworkers.
We would like to thank the wonderful community of Mat-Su Regional Hospital, the Dialysis Center in Palmer, and St. Elias in Anchorage that took such good care of Trish. A special thank you to all of her friends, caregivers, staff, and administration at Primrose and Maple Springs who brought Trish such joy. These staff members went above and beyond to take wonderful care of Trish when her family was not nearby; we are forever grateful.
May Patricia rest in peace and be remembered for her contagious laughter, her love of nature, her dedication to family, and her amazing dry sense of humor that brought light to so many occasions. May Trish's memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
A service in Trish's honor will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2025, 3 p.m. at Maple Springs Palmer, 12130 Maple Springs Way, Palmer, AK 99645.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
